There are three kinds of Toyota 4Runner floor mats: fabric, rubber, and Toyota All-Weather (rubber). Out of all the models, the Trail comes with fabric floor mats, TRD comes with rubber, and Off-Road comes with rubber. As soon as possible, you need to replace your SR5’s fabric floor mats.
Before jumping to another set of 4Runner mats, you might want to hold onto your All-Weather Floor Mats for a while to see how they hold up.
All of the 4Runner’s floor mat options are nearly identical, which is why choosing one can be a difficult decision. In general, there isn’t much difference between manufacturers.
We don’t mean to tell you that every random brand has a poor product. As a result of observing 4Runner owners, we found that the garbage mats curl and are unable to hold water.
Many of the more mainstream products out there, such as Weather Tech, Husky Liners, 3D MAX Pider, and Toyota’s own genuine all-weather floor mats, have a higher level of dependability and reliability. Husky Liners and Weather Tech make our 4Runner’s aftermarket floor mats.
Hundreds of makes and models are covered with all-terrain and all-weather floor mats by Weathe rTech and Husky Liners. One of their specialties is 4Runners.
WEATHERTECH FRONT AND REAR MATS
There is no doubt that Weather Techs for the 4Runner are a quality product, but are they worth the price? You would be looking at an average cost of $188.00 for a set of all three mats (two front and one rear). It better be flawless if the Weather Techs are almost $200.
There are very few sets of mats available for the 4Runner that are more expensive than this. Almost every 4Runner floor mat manufacturer offers the same features as Weather Techs.
Floor Liner is a trademark of Weather Tech. I find this hilarious. Furthermore, Digital Fit is registered with them. What do you think about how serious they are about gaining more territory from other companies?
The mats themselves are pretty impressive, and I have seen them in person. Compared to the Stock Toyota All Weather Floor Mats, the side wall is much higher. Weather Tech’s rubber is also thicker and appears to be overall much better.
HUSKY LINERS FRONT AND REAR MATS
Our next option is the Husky Liners, which are an alternative to the Weather Techs. If we go to buy new All-Weather/All-Terrain tires for our 4Runner, we’ll buy the Husky Liners. The Husky Liners are preferred over the Wether Techs for a number of reasons.
From seeing these and the Weather Techs in person, reading both online reviews and postings on the forums, we’re going to get the Husky Liners. You may not need to buy upgraded mats if you’ve been walking all over the floor for quite some time. If you have a relatively new 4Runner and would like to protect the carpet, then these floor mats are highly recommended.
Our Stock Toyota Mats have worked really well for the last three years (2014-2017). Many coffees have been spilled, waters have been overspill, mud has been splashed, snow has been stepped on, sand castles built, and much more has happened. It would have been better if we had bought them before anything else. Their lifespan warranty and affordable price make them an excellent choice. There’s no way to go wrong here.
3D MAXPIDER FRONT ROW CUSTOM FIT ALL-WEATHER FLOOR MAT
The Driver and Passenger are good options for anyone who does not need the front and the back.
4Runner’s 3D MAXpiders, the best 3D printer for racing vehicles, guarantee a precise fit for your 4Runner. There are three layers in the 3D MAXpiders, which are designed to withstand all conditions.
Designed with raised edges to trap melting snow, sand, gravel, and rock that enters your cabin, these digitized mats are designed to fit the exact dimensions of your 4Runner. Unlike some other mats available, these mats do not leave nibs on the floor like some others do. A 3D MAXpider uses a thermoplastic rubber made of carbon fiber texture or polyester fabric loop.
How can fatigued feet be minimized? When I first started reading this, I didn’t even know that was a thing. Due to their unique XPE inner layer, these mats are more comfortable and relaxing for your feet. My interest is piqued by something like this since I cannot believe such a thing exists. It is impossible to predict the future. Maybe it will work.
Intro-Tech Automotive HEXOMAT Floor Mats
Driving to work, you sing your best rendition of “My Heart Will Go On” to no one in particular. Next, the event occurs. The lid pops off the coffee tumbler after you drop it. Starting your day wading in your morning cup ‘o Joe was not what you wanted to do.
HEXOMAT Floor Mats, on the other hand, prevent that sea of coffee from reaching your carpet, so you can focus on what counts most: playing those high notes flawlessly.
You can throw pretty much anything at these rubber car mats and they’ll probably handle it just fine. Really, I don’t. A wide variety of dirt and mud can be fought off with these rubber floor mats due to their honeycomb vault design, which adds superior traction.
For a perfect fit, these mats are customized to your daily driver. We don’t fit into a box here. The mats are made from a composite material that remains flexible, but will never fade or crack, no matter how warm it might get.
Despite their large size, these mats are made of a hexagonal pattern covering that is designed to catch spills. The driver’s side mat, in fact, can absorb up to eight cups of liquid-now that’s protection! Additionally, it means whatever falls on that mat, will probably stay there and not damage your carpet.
These mats are equipped with dozens of little nibs at the bottom that keep the mat in place and ensure that you and your passengers always have a firm footing. It’s just a matter of hose them down and leaving them to air dry before reinstalling when it’s time to clean.
Rugged Ridge All Terrain Floor Mats
There was a big selling point of your truck or Jeep that it could take you to new places and provide exciting adventures. Those advertising photos of it wading through creeks, crawling over rocks, and soaring through dirt trails made you want to recreate them as soon as possible.
The messy aftermath of these adventures is sadly not captured in any of those press photos. You will quickly end up with stained and tattered carpets without good floor mats. For this reason, Rugged Ridge created their All Terrain Floor Mats. They provide you with the best protection for your carpet when used in the toughest conditions.
This All Terrain mat is made with OE quality thermoplastic elastomer, so it remains soft and flexible no matter what the temperatures are. You won’t have to worry about your mats cracking, curling, or fading. A high perimeter wall protects more of the carpet and allows for a perfect fit. This mat has shallow treads that are 3/8th inches deep which catch spills easily on the face.
Their depth is over twice that of some competitors. By managing messes using the chevron pattern, you will be able to drive with safer feet and pants legs. The mats feature a reinforced, rolled lip to prevent them from warping. Mats have dozens of tiny nibs on their bottoms that grip carpeting without leaving permanent marks. You won’t ever have to worry about your mats bunching up or sliding underneath when you have these mats cut with your ride’s factory retention system.
And they’re self-sealing, so any kicked up mud or spilled coffee will not reach the carpet. Just lift the mats right out after your adventure and hose them right down once you’re home. When you use Rugged Ridge, it’s really that simple!
